Chris began his career in the direct response industry in 1991 as a media buyer for New Strategies and later Western International Media. Finding success in media buying and looking for a new challenge, Chris joined Apex Media in 1996 where he developed the National Cable Department from the ground up. As National Cable Director he generated over $250 million in new business for Apex. Chris has created and managed dozens of successful media campaigns for direct marketers, entrepreneurs and brand advertisers including products such as Orange Clean, Oxi Clean, Tae-bo and Super Blu Stuff.
As a leader in the direct response industry and a former owner of Cable Shopping Network (CSN), Chris understands direct response from an entrepreneur's perspective and has a clear understanding of its future: “Being an owner of a product changes the way you see the direct response industry. CSN was a great learning experience for me because you have to learn every aspect of a campaign. It’s an example of how you need all the correct pieces to make a show a winner. Direct response is tough enough; if you have the wrong team it’s impossible."
In 2008, with the support of a great team, Chris co-founded AOR Direct, a company where relationships come first and great people stay and do the best work of their careers. His philosophy is that clients will do business with people they like and trust. Mike began his career in direct response in 1997, specializing in all aspects of media placement, campaign management and strategic development. After years of helping clients realize their dreams of successful business ownership, Mike co-founded AOR Direct, LLC, a comprehensive media agency based on service, accountability and the belief that by using “All Our Resources,” success is always within reach.
After graduating from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising emphasizing marketing and media relations, Mike joined New Strategies in Phoenix, Arizona. He quickly became a senior media buyer for the incredibly successful “Making Money with Don Lapre” infomercial, which allowed him to experience the inner workings of direct response and truly appreciate how all the pieces fit together. Communicating with call centers, coordinating traffic and evaluating product offers became the foundation of his well-rounded product marketing expertise.
In 1999, Mike changed his focus to general advertising by joining Thelen Pollick Advertising as media buyer and planner for several high profile clients such as Motorola, Maracay Homes and Arizona State University. This position afforded him the opportunity to work with considerable media budgets and take a lead role in pitching some of the largest accounts in Arizona.
Mike made the jump back to his true professional calling in 2000 by joining Apex Media in Scottsdale, Arizona. As a media buyer and client services representative, he was able to utilize his years of experience with media placement and product evaluation as well as offer construction and strategy development. Mike soon became the go-to resource for everything related to start-up direct response campaigns, vendor relations and media test/rollout placement.
Over the years, Mike has had the good fortune of developing long-lasting relationships with colleagues in every corner of the direct response industry.

Cindy got her start in the Direct Response industry in 1993 at Western International Media. Since then she has helped generate millions in sales for clients as Account Executive and Senior Media Buyer overseeing all aspects of media campaigns, from logistical infrastructure to major contract negotiation. Her strengths are realized through her ability to build solid relationships with internal and external partners, resulting in increased revenues and success for the clients she serves.
As National Cable Director, Cindy joined long time colleagues and friends to launch AOR Direct. She remains energized by what attracted her to the business 17 years ago, turning innovative ideas into successful marketing campaigns.

Lisa joined AOR Direct in 2008 as Operations Director. She brings an extensive background in media operations and accounting expertise. With more than 7 years in DR accounting, she possesses a thorough understanding of direct response industry operations. In addition, Lisa also brings years of expertise in human resources management and acts as the company liaison which encompasses both benefits administration and office management.
At AOR Direct Lisa has initiated, planned, and implemented effective accounting procedures and systems. A vital piece of AOR Direct’s daily operations, Lisa manages all activities related to finance and accounting. Her streamlined accounting procedures and full disclosure reconciliation approach provides campaign integrity and accountability, giving clients complete confidence in the process.

Jackie’s experience in Direct Response started in 1981 with home-gym/direct response pioneer, Soloflex, Inc. Her early years in the industry include a wide variety of positions ranging from customer service representative, shipping and receiving, and accounts payable, to managing the accounts receivable/collections department. In 1986, Jackie landed in the Soloflex “in-house” advertising agency where she spent the next ten years purchasing print, radio, and both short- and long-form television direct response media.
In 1997, Jackie joined the Tyee Media team where she served as an account executive, senior media buyer, and media account director. At Tyee, she bought direct response television media for agency clients and managed short-form and long-form media campaigns for a variety of clients, including CharBroil, GTE/Verizon wireless, Mirro-Wearever, Panasonic, Guthy-Renker Direct, Icon Health & Fitness and Gazoontite.com. In addition, she managed the highly successful Nautilus long-form media account for seven years. Jackie’s stint at Tyee spanned ten years as the agency experienced tremendous success and growth including a merger with MCM to become Euro RSCG 4D DRTV. She was most recently employed with TouchPoint Integrated Communications as long-form buying director, negotiating and purchasing media for various Nautilus and Oreck products.
Jackie’s extensive experience on the client side, dealing directly with consumers, as well as serving clients on the agency side gives her a well-rounded perspective that surpasses simply spending budgets. She attributes much of her success and longevity in the direct response industry to the mindset that honesty and integrity reign. Delivering both a good product and a positive sales experience will keep consumers spreading goodwill and coming back for more.

Carrie joined the AOR team in April of 2008 as a Media Buyer bringing with her extensive experience in marketing, advertising and account management. Her career began in the technology industry as an account manager for a computer hardware manufacturer in the Silicon Valley. In 1996, she joined MicroAge, Inc. / Pinacor in Tempe, Arizona, a Computer Products distributor, where she was responsible for developing and implementing marketing plans for the company’s largest suppliers including IBM, Compaq and Toshiba. She then moved into the Events Marketing department, where she was responsible for Corporate Events - including content, speakers, budget, advertising and promotion, along with entertainment. Her expertise in technology products helped her bring together industry leaders with clients.
At AOR, Carrie pioneered and now manages our broadcast media department. With a dedication to our clients' goals and a belief that developing and maintaining relationships is the company’s most important asset, she is proactive in locating the best media opportunities.

Lyndie joined AOR Direct in August of 2009 as part-time Media Assistant and progressed to full-time in November of 2009. She graduated from Creighton University in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in English and a Business Administration minor. She excelled during a marketing/sales internship in 2007, finishing as one of the top-earning interns of the 150 college students in the program. She came to us from Union Pacific Distribution Services where she gained invaluable customer service and problem-solving experience as a Logistics Service Representative.
As Media Assistant, Lyndie has increased efficiency in regards to invoice requests and resolving discrepancies. She assists the media buyers with traffic management and the operations director with various accounting duties. As Traffic Coordinator, Lyndie is committed to accuracy and timeliness when reviewing media contracts and processing dub requests for Cable, Broadcast, and Per Inquiry media. As a result of her efforts, Lyndie has joined the National Cable Department and is working more directly with our National Cable Director. She is devoted to expanding her knowledge about direct response at every opportunity.

Vanessa joined AOR Direct in November of 2010 as a full-time operations assistant. She graduated from Northern Arizona University in December of 2007 with two bachelor’s degrees in Advertising and Public Relations.
Having worked as an office assistant at Chapter Two Communications for over two years, Vanessa comes to us with a strong background in account service work and project management. Her internships include one at Chapter Two Communications, a full service advertising and marketing agency, another in the marketing and public relations department at The Phoenix Art Museum, and a special events internship at The Phoenix Art Museum as well.
At AOR, Vanessa handles communication along with other numerous office duties. She also aids the operations director with accounting activities. Vanessa strives to increase productivity and efficiency while integrating her advertising and public relations knowledge into the direct response industry.
